This preparatory course for Physics at Faculty of Communication and Environmentis meant to close gaps in the participants' knowlegde and skills to reach a similar level for starting lectures in physics and maths.

The biggest challenge in physics - at least in the beginning - is maths. You have to be fluent in many mathematical methods such as general algebra, trigonometry, vector calculus, linear algebra, infinitesimal calculus (i.e. differentiation and integration).

Sophisticated skills and applications will be taught in the concerning specialized lectures but it is paramount to start with a solid knowledge in maths which you should have mostly acquired from school. The gap course named "Bridging Course Physics" is an introduction to physics with a strong emphasis on mathematical methods. We discuss physical principles and solve physical problems with maths and revise the topics you learnt at school when appropriate.
