This course will offer insight into what the labour market is, who the relevant actors and structures are, what impact it can have, and how the policies differ across the political (and international) spectrum with an emphasis on issues concerning gender and diversity. The course will closely link policy analysis with empirical cases, with the German elections and the various party programmes serving as empirical examples. Participants will be encouraged to select a case of their choice that is not necessarily limited to Germany in order to apply the gained knowledge in more depth.
